Beading technique artwork
Cherry blossom is a beading technique artwork. It’s hand embroidered with the technique of bead work. Every single beads are sewn by hand on a fabric base. Amandine Bouet is a French textile artist, specialized in bead work. She creates one-of-a-kind textile artworks, jewellery and accessories. At the same time, she wants to share her technique & knowledge by giving workshops and offers kits to learn at home if you can’t come to the workshops.
Description
It is an embroidery hoop, fully embroidered with beads and sequins by hand on a fabric base. This artwork is puffed.
This piece is composed of several colors of pearls such as pink, blue, pastel green, purple and iridescent. The base is a light blue fabric. It’s 17 centimeters in diameter.
It is a unique piece that I’ll not replicate. All my works are original and 100% handmade, one-to-one, pearls after pearls, handcrafted. The pieces I sell are the result of several tests and experiments over several years.
Beading? What’s it ?
You’ve probably heard of embroidery? It’s an ancient technique of creating designs with thread and needle on textiles. Beading is also part of this great family of textile arts, allowing you to compose with beads. These techniques have evolved enormously over the centuries and across cultures, so there are dozens of techniques derived from this family.
Who’s behind this hoop ?
Amandine Bouet is a french textile artiste specialized in bead work. She experimented with this technique for several years to enrich her practice and has taken part in several art exhibitions. She’d like to share the tips and tricks she’s developed over the years through workshops and all-inclusive kits. She has also designed an ergonomic embroidery hoop stand which is available on the same website.
